2023 Election: BVAS stops functioning in Bauchi

There are reports of the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS) malfunctioning in some parts of Bauchi South Senatorial District, Bauchi State.
It could be recalled that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) introduced the technological device in 2021 to promote credible elections and prevent rigging.
ICIR reported that at Polling Unit 22, Kofar Nasarawa Primary School of Bauchi State, the BVAS stopped functioning as a result of network failure.
The network failure which commenced around 10:00 am has left hundreds of voters stranded.
