AFCON: Ivory Coast beat Congo, to play Nigeria in final

Ivorian legend, Didier Drogba celebrated Ivory Coast’s 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON, semi-final win over DR Congo on Wednesday night.
Drogba, present at the Olympic Stadium of Ebimpé when Ivory Coast defeated Congo 1-0 the semi-final, jumped after the final whistle.
The Chelsea legend posted the video of his celebration on his Instagram account after the game with the caption “we are in the final,” alongside Ivory Coast’s national flag.
Kanempress reports that a second half goal from Sébastien Haller ensured Ivory Coast booked its place in the AFCON final where the team will face the Super Eagles of Nigeria on Sunday.
Nigeria had defeated South Africa in the other semi-final encounter.
Meanwhile, Nigeria defeated Ivory Coast 1-0 in the group stage of the competition.
