The broadcasting industry and distinguished guests will gather to celebrate the remarkable 80th birthday of Aremo Taiwo Allimi, a broadcasting icon whose contributions to Nigeria’s media landscape have left an indelible mark. The celebration will take place at the Combo Hall, LTV Agidingbi, Ikeja, Lagos, on December 17, 2024 starting promptly at 10:00 am.
The event promises to be an unforgettable occasion, with an esteemed lineup of individuals paying tribute to the legacy of Aremo Taiwo Allimi, a revered figure in the broadcasting world.
Chief Host: The Director-General and CEO of Voice of Nigeria, Mallam Jibrin Baba Ndace, will serve as the Chief Host for the event. With a career deeply rooted in broadcasting, further elevates the significance of this celebration.
Chairman of the Day: The former Governor of Ogun State and current Senator representing Ogun East, will serve as the Chairman of the Day. Known for his visionary leadership and political acumen, Otunba Daniel’s presence at this prestigious event underscores the importance of the occasion, bringing a touch of political gravitas to a celebration steeped in cultural and broadcasting history.
The Father of the Day: The former President of Nigeria, Chief Olusegun Aremu Obasanjo, adding further prestige to the event, His long-standing relationship with Aremo Taiwo Allimi and his significant influence in Nigerian governance and international affairs make his participation in this event truly monumental.
Royal Footprints at the Celebration
The event will also honor several royal fathers, including Oba Rilwan Akiolu, the Oba of Lagos, and Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, the Ooni of Ile-Ife, whose support for the celebration signifies the respect and admiration that Aremo Taiwo Allimi commands across various sectors.
The presence of Oba Babatunde Adewale Ajayi, the Akarigbo of Remoland, and Oba Hamed Adekule Makama Dyelude Tegbosun, the Diuwu of Kata, further enriches this royal gathering, cementing the deep cultural ties that Aremo Taiwo Allimi has cultivated over his illustrious career.

Former Governor of Ogun State, Chief Olusegun Osoba, and Major General Oladayo Popoola, former Military Governor of Ogun State, will also join the celebration.
