Ethiopia imposes curfew in Gambella region

Ethiopia has imposed a night-time curfew after the deaths of scores of people in fresh violence.
Authorities in the western Ethiopian region of Gambella
prohibit the movement of people between 19:00 and 06:00.
No exact figures of people but the regional government vowed to hold to account “members of the leadership” involved in the “disturbance of peace”.
Violence which began earlier this week, had ethnic dimensions with about two areas affected by the clashes with businesses and offices closed on Wednesday.
The region, which borders South Sudan, witnessed recurring violence in recent months.
