Ex-Soldier Detained for Supplying Weapons To Boko Haram

A former Nigerian soldier has been detained by the Army joint task force in Bauchi State over allegations of supplying ammunition to Boko Haram members.
The suspect was apprehended in Boi, an area within the Bogoro Local Government Area (LGA).
According to the reports gathered by The Citizen Reports Army did not disclose the suspect’s identity, they revealed that he had previously been dismissed from the 5 Brigade Damasak.
Similarly, the arrest resulted in the seizure of two pistols, two magazines, and eight rounds of 9 mm ammunition from the individual. The incident took place on 18th July 23.
Alongside the operation, the Army also arrested two suspected logistic suppliers for Boko Haram/Islamic State West Africa Province terrorists at Kukareta Mkt. in Damaturu LGA, Yobe State.
Among the items recovered were two mobile phones and a sum of seven thousand two hundred and sixty-five naira.
