International Criminal Court says no peace in Sudan without justice

The International Criminal Court (ICC), says that “there is no hope of peace in Sudan without some type of justice”.

The prosecutor at the International Criminal Court (ICC), Karim Khan, said from the UN in New York, said new generations of Darfurians are being afflicted with new violence which are of no fault of their own”.

This was after the news of discovery of about 87 bodies of people, found in a mass grave in Darfur, reportedly massacred by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF).

Mr Khan had on Thursday, said that his office is seeking for atrecent atrocities in the Darfur region, efforts to assist the investigation.

The ICC had reviewing events since 2005, by the UN Security Council.

Mr Khan is launching an appeal for evidence of war crimes in Sudan.
