Kanempress calls for Peaceful and violence free elections

As Nigerian general elections stands today, Kanempress Digital Hub, under the able Leadership of it’s Founder/CEO, Zanna Ibrahim Mustapha, MSNB, call for calm, unity and peaceful elections.
The CEO, urge stakeholders to uphold their commitment to ensure a peaceful and inclusive election in which the people of Nigeria are able to freely exercise their right to vote, with the fundamental freedoms of expression, association and assembly fully respected.
He said, “as you are all aware, Kanempress is a media related NGO that focused on media independence, facts- Check, peace-building, health, education, justice and equity to improve on the living conditions of the vulnerable women, youth and children, promotion of welfare activities aimed at the alleviation of human suffering and overall amelioration of society especially for the poor, helpless and weak.
It becomes imperative for us here at Kanempress to call voter’s and stakeholders into order and to ensure that Nigerian came out in mass to vote for the candidate of their choice without fear or anxiety.
Underscoring the importance of a peaceful election in Nigeria, Ibrahim Mustapha said, it will be Africa’s largest democratic exercise. The outcomes of the elections will be significant not only for Nigeria but also for the entire continent.
Mustapha further said, there are genuine concerns about election violence due to the insecurity across Nigeria, especially in the south-east and north-west regions.
He call on the security agencies to remain vigilant and ensure the protection of lives and property for the conduct of free, peaceful and credible elections. As well as appeal to the citizens to go out for their civic rights accordingly.
He then cautioned Nigerians of all creeds and regions on the need to vote without rancour and acrimony in the elections.
Referencing the current cash scarcity, the CEO urged the leadership of the country to respect the rule of law, while advising the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) to make more efforts to provide more cash for the citizens.
In conclusion,The CEO urged Nigerians that whosoever becomes the elected president should be given all the support, even as he called on the citizens should carry out their responsibilities in support of the leadership.
