In furtherance to the compliance to Christ’s express injunction in the Gospel according to St. Mark (Chapter 16 verses 15-20), New Dawn Baptist Church has successfully completed a bespoke worship centre at Prince Yomi Daramola Street, Dideolu Estate, Oniru Lagos.
The new worship Centre tagged “The Rebirth” is a testament to the long vision of the ‘Founding Fathers’ of the New Estate Baptist Church which started in year 2004 with about 12 committed Baptist Families in a rented apartment and which by the grace of God has grown to have over 800 members.
In 2006, two years after it started, the present location was acquired and canopies and tents would serve as the shelter for worshipers from then till 2022 when a fire outbreak destroyed them.
Though the construction of the One Billion Naira (N1B) new facility had started as far back 2015, the Church has not been found wanting in its other missions and responsibilities in evangelizing, edification of members and extending help and supports to the poor and vulnerable in its community.
According to the church, all its activities are geared towards its three-fold vision and mission: ‘To honour our past; become increasingly active in the present; and, be excited in embracing the future’.
To this end, the Church is inviting all persons to the grand dedication & celebration service scheduled to hold on Easter Monday, 10th April, 2023 where the President of the Nigeria Baptist Convention and the All-Africa Baptist Fellowship, Reverend. Israel Adelani Akanji will preside.
Prior to the Monday event, a Worship Concert is billed for Good Friday evening where gospel artistes like Bukola Bekes, Dare Justified, Rachael Adamu, and David Igbokwe among others are expected to perform.
All are cordially invited
