Nigerian President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has departed Abuja for Beijing, China, on an official visit.

According to the President’s Spokesperson, Ajuri Ngelale, President Tinubu will have a brief layover in the United Arab Emirates.

The President will meet with China’s President, Xi Jinping and will hold meetings with Chinese business leaders on the sidelines of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation scheduled to hold in the country.

It would be recalled that President Tinubu’s trip to the People’s Republic of China, Beijing, avail him of the opportunity to participate in a series of discussions with ten prominent Chinese corporations overseeing assets totalling less than $3 trillion.

The President would conduct site visits to Huawei Technologies, as well as the China Rail and Construction Corporation, (CRCC) to facilitate the completion of the Ibadan to Abuja segment of the Lagos to Kano high-speed rail line.

The series of line-up engagements and meetings for President Bola Tinubu to Beijing will lead to immediate and future benefits to the Nigerian economy as well as the citizens.
