Over 1.2 Million Candidates Enroll for 2023 NECO SSCE

According to the Registrar/Chief Executive of the National Examinations Council (NECO), Prof. Dantani Ibrahim Wushishi, over one million candidates have registered for the 2023 Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE).
In a press statement released on Friday by Azeez Sani, head, Information and Public Relations, the NECO Registrar expressed satisfaction with the general conduct of the 2023 SSCE based on reports obtained from across the country.
The statement said, out of this number, 601,074 candidates are male, while 584,814 are female.
The Registrar said that the overall conduct of the examination across the country and stated that it is the best-organized in recent years.
He added that various measures have been implemented to combat examination malpractice, yielding positive results.
In another development, Prof. Dantani personally monitored the examination at different schools in Jos and expressed satisfaction with their conduct, while the 2023 SSCE is set to conclude next week.
