Police Nab 3 suspects for gang-raping minor in Adamawa

The Police Command in Adamawa has arrested three suspects, allegedly, for gang-raping a minor.

This was revealed by SP Suleiman Nguroje, the spokesperson of the command on Tuesday.

The suspects were identified as Hassan Nasir, 25, Uzairu Dan Fulani, 25 and Yahaya Edward, 26.

Suleiman said that the suspects were arrested in connection to the gang rape of a 15-year-old girl by the police in Mayo Belwa Local Government.

He added that two of the suspects are residents of Sabon Pegi, Ngurore, Yola South and the other one is from Gabasa ward Mayo Belwa, Yola South Local Government.

Kanempress gathered that Suleiman said the suspects allegedly lured the girl who boarded a tricycle from Mayo Belwa to Ngurore where they diverted behind Cottage Hospital and forcefully dragged her into a house and had an unlawful affair with her without her consent.

The command directed officers responsible to investigate the matter and ensure the suspects are prosecuted.
