Presidency Proposed Bill to Provide Housing For Low-income Nigerians

The Presidency has proposed a new bill aimed at providing affordable housing for low-income and unemployed Nigerians. The bill, called the National Social Housing Fund (NSHF), has been sent to the National Assembly for review.
Fredrick Nwabufo, Senior Special Assistant to President Bola Tinubu, announced the bill on Tuesday. He explained that the NSHF will ensure all Nigerians, regardless of income, have access to decent housing.
Funding for the project will come from the national budget, donations from charities, corporate social responsibility, and voluntary contributions from citizens.
President Tinubu is committed to addressing Nigeria’s housing crisis through this initiative as part of his Renewed Hope Agenda, aimed at improving living conditions for vulnerable groups.
