President Tinubu to Launch 10th National Industrial Labour Summit

Nigerian President Bola Tinubu will on Tuesday officially open the 10th National Industrial Labour Relations Summit in Ilorin, Kwara State.

The summit, with the theme “The Future of Work and Renewed Hope Agenda: Issues and Perspectives,” will focus on key topics such as employment, social justice, occupational health and safety, and productivity.

It will feature prominent speakers including Minister of Budget and National Planning, Atiku Bagudu, and leaders from the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Trade Union Congress (TUC), and the Nigerian Employers’ Consultative Association (NECA).

The summit, organized by the Michael Imoudu National Institute for Labour Studies, (MINILS), aims to foster industrial harmony and set an agenda for improving labour relations across Nigeria.

The Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Dr. Nkeiruka Onyejeocha, and Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq will also participate.

Comrade Issa Aremu, the Director General of Michael Imoudu National Institute for Labour Studies, emphasized that the summit will offer a platform for stakeholders to discuss job creation, decent work, and worker motivation, which are vital for national development.
