Super Falcons’ Oparanozie Offers Apology for Penalty Miss

Super Falcons’ forward, Desire Oparanozie, expressed her regrets and offered an apology for failing to convert her penalty into a goal during the team’s Round of 16 match against England.
It was learned that the Nigerian team lost 4-2 in a penalty shootout after a goalless draw at the end of extra time.
Kanempress gathered that Oparanozie posted a heartfelt picture of herself in tears on Instagram, stating, “Sad day! Very disappointing to have lost through penalties, and even more disappointing not to have converted mine. And for this I deeply apologise…”
England’s victory secured their spot in the Women’s World Cup quarterfinals.
