Today will be the finalization of the elections in which no expert was found, in 69 polling stations across the state, in the governorship election that was contested last month.

The conflict caused the Independent Electoral Commission (INEC) to declare the election as inconclusive.

Voting start at about 8 am in the village of Ajiya which is adjacent to Yola, people should wait for about an hour to cast their votes.

The election held on March 18 is full of accusations of rigging, and both sides of the current governor, the PDP party and the opposition APC party have all made this claim.
According to the results of the election announcedby INEC earlier, the current governor Ahmadu Fintiri is leading with 421,524 votes while Senator Aishatu Dahiru Binani has 390,275.

There are 31,249 votes between the two candidates.

If Aisha Binani wins, she will be the first elected female governor in Nigeria.
