The Yobe State Government has awarded full tuition scholarships of ₦475,000 each and laptops to 127 law graduates heading to the Nigerian Law School, marking the fourth consecutive year of such support under Governor Mai Mala Buni’s administration.
This was disclosed in a statement by Mamman Mohammed, Director General of Press and Media Affairs to the Governor, who emphasized the administration’s commitment to educational advancement, noting that over 38,000 students have benefited from state scholarships since 2019.
Governor Buni stated that the scholarship program now extends to professional certifications for accountants and public administrators, and announced that 140 out of 189 medical graduates from Indian universities have already been employed, with the remaining 49 set for absorption soon.
He urged the beneficiaries to uphold institutional regulations and serve as worthy ambassadors of Yobe State, reiterating that the initiative is part of the government’s broader Recovery Through Education program.
