Daughter of Nigerian President says father wants graduates to become self-reliant

Daughter of Nigerian President, Mujidat Folashade Tinubu-Ojo has disclosed that her father wants young graduates to become self-reliant and not depend on white-collar jobs.

Mujidat, a Pro-chancellor and Chairman, Governing Council of Havilla University in Nde community, Ikom LGA of Cross River State, said younger students should tilt towards entrepreneurial education

She addressed the governing council members shortly after she was inaugurated as Pro-Chancellor by the founder of the university, Jones Tangban.

Mujidat assured that the institution’s governing council will work hard towards quality education for students.

She stated that the initiative is in line with the renewed hope and agenda of her father, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, which emphasizes quality education.

Mujidat inaugurated the school complex named after her.

“I wish to recommend that for posterity purposes the inauguration of Chief Dr. Mujidat Folashade Tinubu-Ojo International Centre for Vocational, Entrepreneurial, Skill Studies and Research today will help to churn out quality graduates,” she said.

“This centre shall be a processing ground for the production of self-employed young graduates and wealth creation in line with the renewed hope and agenda of Mr President Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria,” Mujidat noted.

“The centre which will be technologically driven shall work with local and international organizations to provide first-class training in skills and technical labour to champion the new industrial revolution in Nigeria and Africa as a whole,” Mujidat Folashade Tinubu-Ojo concluded.
