Inuwa Yahaya won the Gombe state election for the second term

The Independent Electoral Commission of Nigeria (INEC) has declared Inuwa Yahaya of the APC as the winner of the state governorship election.
INEC declared him as the winner over his opponents Muhammad Jibri Son of Barde of PDP and Ahmed Khamisu Mailantarki of NNPP.
The chief officer of the state election results collection, Professor Maimuna Waziri, said that Inuwa won with 345,821 votes.
On the other hand, Dan Barde of PDP got 233,131 votes, while Mailantarki of NNPP came third with 19,861 votes.
In 2019, Yahaya was elected as the governor of Gombe state, where he served his first term.
