JUST IN: Yobe State Government Appoints New Emir of Tikau

In a move that has been widely welcomed, the Executive Governor of Yobe State, Hon. Mai Mala Buni CON, has approved the appointment of Alhaji Abubakar Muhammadu Ibn Grema as the new Emir of Tikau.
The appointment, which was based on the unanimous recommendations of the king makers of the Tikau Emirate Council, marks a new chapter in the history of the Tikau Emirate.
Alhaji Abubakar Muhammadu Ibn Grema, the eldest son of the late Emir of Tikau, is a highly respected and accomplished individual with a strong background in agriculture and rural development.
A graduate of Bayero University Kano, Alhaji Abubakar holds a Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Economics and Extension, as well as a Master’s degree in Agricultural Economics (Applied Econometrics, Development, and Resource Economics). He is currently pursuing his Ph.D. in Rural Development.
Throughout his career, Alhaji Abubakar has demonstrated a commitment to public service, having worked in various capacities at Yobe State University.
He is currently the Principal Manager of the Yobe State University Farm, where he has been instrumental in promoting sustainable agriculture and rural development.
In addition to his academic and professional achievements, Alhaji Abubakar has also undergone training in Environmental Impact Assessment and Health and Safety, further equipping him with the skills and knowledge necessary to lead the Tikau Emirate towards a brighter future.
