Nasarawa women, youths commend Tinubu’s choice of Iman Ibrahim

Women and youth stakeholders in Nasarawa State have commended Nigerian President Bola Tinubu for nominating a female indigene of the state, Iman Suleiman Ibrahim, as a minister.
Ibrahim, a consummate and international professional with over two decades of technical, administrative, and executive experience across the public and private sectors, has over the years been known for her philanthropic gestures across the 13 Local Government Areas of the state.
Speaking in Lafia for the groups, the women and youth stakeholders, the Director General of the state’s Human Capital Development Agency, Habiba Balarabe-Suleiman, said the appointment of the ministerial nominee had brought great joy to many residents of the state.
“We are here today to express our gratitude to President Bola Tinubu for appointing one of us, Iman Suleiman Ibrahim as minister. Since we got the news of her appointment, we have been very happy because women and youths are hardly appointed as ministers but the President has given us a sense of belonging by appointing her to serve as a member of the Federal Executive Council,”
Balarabe-Suleiman, said
“Fortunately for us, the good people of Nasarawa State, we know that we can trust her because she is someone who has the passion to contribute meaningfully to the growth of society, she said.
“We are very sure that she will do exceedingly well as a minister. So, we want to express our gratitude to the President and Governor Abdullahi Sule for the opportunity given to women to be involved in governance,”
Balarabe-Suleiman, said.
On her part, Women Leader of the state chapter of the All Progressives Congress, Blessing Ebuga, thanked the President for being gender friendly, while assuring him that women in the state would continue to support his administration to succeed.
Governor Sule while receiving the women and youth groups in his office in Lafia, had promised to give them more opportunities both at the state and federal levels.
Sule urged them to continue to be good ambassadors of the state whenever they were given opportunities to serve in public offices.
In attendance were the Nasarawa State Head of Service, Abigail Waya; the Senior Special Assistant to Governor Sule on Youth Development, Shuaibu Sani, among others.
On July 27, 2023, Iman Suleiman Ibrahim was among those nominated by President Tinubu to serve as member of his cabinet.
