Nigeria gives update on IPPIS payment challenges

Nigerian government says it is committed to resolving all challenges with its payroll payment system, Integrated Personnel and Payroll Information System (IPPIS).
The Accountant-General of the Federation (AGF), Mrs Oluwatoyin Madein said this on Sunday.
In a meeting with IPPIS officials, Madein gave assurances of a permanent solution to the payment system to address future challenges.
“The OAGF is determined to consolidate on the gains of the IPPIS and will work assiduously to maintain an efficient and trustworthy payroll system for the country, “ Madein said.
“We have taken notice of the challenges in IPPIS, and we will do everything possible, not only to resolve them but to forestall future occurrence,” she said.
It will be recalled that the Nigerian government had blamed technical glitches for the challenges experienced in salary payment.
