Nigerian Lady set a new world cooking record

The cooking expert in Nigeria, Hilda Effiong Bassey, better known as Hilda Baci, has set a world record for cooking, after spending 87 hours and 50 minutes cooking while standing.

Hilda, who is 27 years old, has been preparing for four days to set the record of beating India’s Lata Tondon, who entered the Guinness World Record.

In 2019, Lata entered the Guinness Book of Records after spending 87 hours and 45 minutes cooking in central India.

Hilda’s bravery has now surpassed Lata’s, but it has not been officially announced that she will be included in the Guinness Book of Records.

Lata told the BBC that she made this effort to encourage young people.

Hilda’s desire to make history has received support and praise on social media. She has been posting and showing her cooking live on social media, which has been watched by millions especially on Instagram.

The cooking competition was held in Lagos.
