Bayo Onanuga, the Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Information and Strategy, has slammed the newly formed political coalition led by former Vice President Atiku Abubakar. Onanuga described the alliance as an “amalgam of Tinubu haters” focused solely on thwarting the president’s 2027 ambitions.

Atiku Abubakar announced the formation of the opposition coalition on Thursday, just ahead of the National Assembly’s vote on the state of emergency in Rivers State. He expressed that the coalition would work together to prevent Tinubu from securing a second term in 2027.

However, Onanuga wasted no time in responding, stating that the coalition was driven by self-interest and frustration, rather than any genuine commitment to the public good.

He emphasized that despite the opposition’s efforts, President Tinubu remains steadfast in his pursuit of governance and national prosperity.

“President Tinubu is focused on governance and building a prosperous country,” Onanuga remarked.

“He has already made significant achievements in just two months and will not be distracted by the coalition of disgruntled politicians.”

He further criticized the coalition’s leaders as sore losers who are merely driven by their own agendas, dismissing their attempt to disrupt the president’s progress.
