Operation Delta Safe: 36 Illegal Refining Sites Destroyed, 22 Suspects Apprehended

The Defence Headquarters reported that in the past two weeks, troops of Operation Delta Safe took down 36 illegal refining sites and arrested 22 suspected oil thieves.
The Director, Defence Media Operations, Edward Buba, said this while giving an update on the operations of the armed forces at a bi-weekly news briefing on Thursday in Abuja.
Kanempress learned that they destroyed 61 dugout pits, 32 wooden boats, and 87 storage tanks. The seized items include 310,700 liters of crude oil, 14,675 liters of Automotive Gas Oil, and 49,000 liters of Dual Purpose kerosene.
Buba also said that the Army ecovered one weapon and three ammunition.
He added that in the South-east, troops of Operation UDO KA conducted successful raids on Indigenous People of Biafra/Eastern Security Network hideouts in Abia and Anambra States.
