The Magnificent Borno Cultural Durbar a Spectacle of Tradition and Majesty lead by His Eminence Shehu of Borno, Alhaji (Dr) Abubakar Garbai El-Kanemi, CFR, and his contingents in an anticipation fills the air.
Their contingent meticulously prepare their elaborate traditional attire, adorning themselves in vibrant robes, intricate embroidery, and ornate jewelry.
Horses, Caws and camels too, were adorned with colorful tassels and trinkets, are groomed to beautifications, ready to carry their riders with grace and dignity.

greeted Governor Babagana Umara Zulum, and his Yobe State counterpart Governor Mai Mala Buni, Deputy Governor, Honourable Ministers, Senators, and all the dignitaries and guests at the VIP stands including first class Emirs and chiefs.
Ramat Square and surroundings came alive with the rhythmic beat of drum melodious sounds of traditional music. Spectators gather along the parade route, eager to catch a glimpses of the Shehu of Borno and his contingents, spectacular procession of Royal.
The spectacle continues with Waziri of Borno and 13 more other powerful contingents of district heads follows sequentially one after another as traditional dancers, clad in vibrant attire, perform intricate routines that tell stories of bravery, love, and triumph.
Drummers keep the rhythm alive, their beats echoing through the area, setting the stage for an unforgettable experience.
Throughout the Durbar session, dignitaries are treated to displays of traditional crafts, artwork, and culinary delights, further immersing them in the rich tapestry of Borno’s culture. From intricately woven textiles to savory local delicacies, every aspect of the region’s heritage is celebrated with passion and reverence.
But the Borno Cultural Durbar is more than just a showcase of tradition; it is a symbol of resilience and unity.
