UNODC to support Guinea-Bissau’s judicial police in curbing drug trafficking

The United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) will use all necessary means to support Guinea-Bissau’s judicial police in combating drug trafficking.
This is according to the elUN agency’s representative in Guinea-Bissau Ana Cristina Andrade.
Andrade said that the UNODC will mobilize all partners to provide sufficient financial resources to support the efforts of Guinea-Bissau authorities in fighting drug trafficking and organized crime in the country.
The UN representative stated that the visit aimed to demonstrate their willingness to support the judicial police.
She praised their professionalism in the recent arrest of five people caught transporting 2.6 tons of cacaine at Bissau Airport.
