Yobe Governor Meets Danish Ambassador, Seeks Trade Partnership

The Executive Governor of Yobe state, Hon. Mai Mala Buni, has met with the Danish Ambassador to Nigeria, Mr. Sune Krogstrup, to discuss the agricultural potentials of the state and seek trade partnership.
According to a statement signed by Mamman Mohammed, the Director-General of Press and Media Affairs to the governor, the meeting took place on Sunday, November 12, 2023.
The statement said that Gov. Buni and the ambassador identified areas of common interests and agreed to meet again for further discussions to explore and exploit more areas of common benefits.
Gov. Buni said Yobe state has huge agricultural resources, including sesame seeds and gum arabic, in commercial quantities for international trade.
He welcomed the opportunity abound for the state to market its natural deposits and the potential economic benefits.
He also expressed his appreciation to the Danish government for its support to the state in the areas of education, health, and humanitarian assistance.
The ambassador commended Gov. Buni for his visionary leadership and his efforts to transform the state.
He said that Denmark is interested in investing in the agricultural sector of the state and enhancing the bilateral relations between the two countries.
He assured the governor of his commitment to facilitate the trade partnership and cooperation between Yobe state and Denmark
