The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has ensured that all necessary arrangements have been made to guarantee the well-being and welfare of Nigerian pilgrims throughout the entire hajj period, including their stay in Mina, Arafat, Muzdalifah, and beyond.
Dr. Aliyu Tanko, the Coordinator of the Commission, conveyed this message in Makkah on Saturday. He emphasized that NAHCON has established several committees to address all the needs of the pilgrims.
Tanko stated that Nigeria, in collaboration with the Saudi Arabian government, has taken measures to provide stable water supply, sanitation facilities, tents, and an effective waste management system to alleviate any difficulties during and after the pilgrimage.
He urged Nigerian pilgrims to uphold their responsibilities as good ambassadors of the country.
Tanko emphasized that any misconduct exhibited by pilgrims or officials would not only tarnish the individual’s reputation but also negatively impact Nigeria’s image as a whole.
