Businesses record highest patronage and profit in Damaturu as Tinubu and Buhari visits

Hotels, Eateries, Traders, Suya and other businesses in Damaturu, the state capital recorded high partronage and boom as President Muhammadu Buhari visits and the APC presidential campaign rally in the state capital.
The President Muhammadu Buhari was in Yobe on a two-day working visit and ended yesterday. During the visits Buhari commissioned some projects executed by Governor Buni administration and the leadership of the Nigerian Police Force.
Some of the projects the President inaugurated are the Muhammadu Buhari Cargo International Airport, Modern Markets, Housing Estates, Schools and the Nigeria’s largest Maternal and Childhealth Complex and Headquaters of the Nigerian Police Force among others.
A visit to some Hotels, Eateries, Suya spot, markets and streets in the state capital revealed that there were price hikes in hotel accommodation and foods. Hotels in Damaturu were not only fully booked but saw increased charges for the President visits and the APC campaign rally.
Some of the Hotels, Eateries, Suya spots and traders, said on Monday, that the visit was a welcome development for the state and their business.
They commended Governor Mai Mala Buni for organizing the presidential visit and APC rally in the state capital.
A receptionist, at Zadiah Suites in Damaturu, who does not want to be mention said all the rooms in the hotel were fully booked for three days because of Mr President visit and the APC rally, she said.
“We are happy over the visit and the way our business is lifted. The presidential visit and APC in particular as a party have brought a turnaround to our businesses.
“The prices have not hiked to the detriment of the presidential visit and the APC rally. We sell to make little gain and have a livelihood.
“We have to improved on our services to make it first class as the President and top dignitaries are coming for the state visit and the rally, we make some gains,’’ she said.
Another attendant in Sahel Suites, said they witnessed a good patronage and also commended Governor Mai Mala Buni for inviting the presidential visit and the APC rally to the state.
“A Manager of one of the Eateries, AlSudaniyya, Alh. Gali said they made brisks business as food were sold out and the restaurant was full to capacity. The visit is a big one to the state and this is an opportunity for us,’’ he said.
Mal Danlali, a Suya seller, also hailed the presidential visit, adding that he has made good sales.
Hon. Usman, an APC chieftain, from Borno said the importance of the presidential visit and the APC rally could not be over-emphasised. There is a lots of fortunes, he said.
He thanked Governor Mai Mala Buni for hosting successfully the President and the APC rally in the state.
“This is what we expect from Governor Mai Mala Buni and Yobe as home for the APC, he said.
