Court affirms Adeleke as Osun governor

The Court of Appeal sitting in Abuja has affirmed Governor Ademola Adeleke as the duly elected governor of Osun in the July 16 governorship election in the State.
The three-man Panel of Judges, presided by Justice Mohammed Shuaibu, set aside the Judgment of the Osun State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal that sacked Senator Ademola Adeleke as the governor.
According to the Appellate court, the tribunal was wrong to have reached conclusion on over-voting based on evidence on the back-end server report, not from the BVAS-accredited data.
The Court also awarded the cost of N500,000 each against former Governor Gboyega Oyetola and the All Progressives Congress, APC.
