Gov Buni Appoints Baba Malam Wali As SSG For Second Term

Alhaji Baba Mallam Wali has been sworn-in as the Secretary to the State Government (SSG) of Yobe State by Governor Hon Mai Mala Buni. The Governor urged him to work harder to achieve the government’s goal of improving the living conditions of the people at the grassroot level.

The swearing-in ceremony took place at the Banquet Hall, Government House, Damaturu, according to a statement by Abubakar Iliya Girba, the Information Officer of the Government House.

Governor Buni said that the SSG’s office is the hub of administration that needs a competent person to handle its affairs. He said that he reappointed Baba Malam Wali for a second term because of his excellent administrative skills in coordinating and implementing government policies and programs, enhancing working synergy among various stakeholders, and promoting transparency and accountability.

“As my Chief Adviser, you have shown great commitment to duty, patriotism, loyalty, and proactive approach to service. I, therefore, ask you to double your efforts to support the government to reach its target of delivering better services to the people,” the Governor said.

He also advised the SSG to delegate duties and responsibilities to all officers under his supervision to mentor more competent officers as many are retiring. He said that this would help the state to produce more proficient officers who can benefit from his rich experience and knowledge.

He congratulated the SSG for the opportunity to serve the state again and prayed to Allah (SWT) to guide him in serving the people of Yobe State and humanity.
