As Nigerians expect the ministerial list tension is on the rise as President Bola Tinubu clocks over 40 days in office.

Constitutionally President Tinubu is much expected to give his cabinet to the Senate for confirmation within 2 months after his oath of office on May 29.

Just three weeks for President Tinubu to submit his cabinet to the National Assembly under the constitution, lawmakers and other Nigerians are in haste to see those ministers who would help to provide the President’s renewed hope agenda.

Nigerians alongside lawmakers, expressed worry over the delay to release the list.

Meanwhile, anti Graft Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, the Department of State Services, and some security agencies have almost completed their checks on the list.

The Department of State Services and members of the Presidential Strategic Team did final checks.

Meanwhile, Deputy chairman, House Committee on Petroleum Resources (Downstream) in 9th Assembly, Honourable Alex Egbona, said that President Tinubu was still within the timeframe, unlike delays in the past.

Egbona expressed hope that the president will submit this Tuesday or upper Tuesday.

Similarly, a former Chief of Staff to the former Imo state Governor Rochas Okorocha, Mr Uche Nwosu, has advised President Bola Tinubu, to ensure that his ministerial list comprises 60 per cent of technocrats from the private sector and 40 per cent of politicians to ensure a productive and vibrant cabinet.

“What I expect from Mr President is to ensure the nominees are people that have competence, character, patriotic, with no atom of nepotism.”

“We believe that we would have ministers who will represent Nigeria and not ministers who are coming to say they are ministers representing their states.”

Nwosu said that Nigeria has competent individuals residing who can be ministers, as well as those in Diaspora .
