Nigerian President appoints new leadership for National Hajj Commission

Nigerian President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the appointment of Professor Abdullahi Saleh Usman as the Executive Chairman of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON).
The President’s Spokesperson, Ajuri Ngelale, made the known the appointment of the renowned scholar, Professor Usman on Monday.
The newly appointed NAHCON Executive Chairman has qualifications from two Islamic centres of excellence, the University of Madinah and Peshawar University, Pakistan.
Professor Usman, who recently served as the Chairman of the Kano State Pilgrims Board, is well-grounded in Hajj operations, having superintended the operations of the largest quota of state pilgrims in Nigeria.
The appointment is subject to confirmation by the Senate.
According to Ngelale, President Bola Tinubu expects the new Chairman of NAHCON to discharge his duties with integrity, transparency, and utmost fidelity to the nation.
