Nigerian Troops Thwart Ambush by Terrorists, Eliminate 7 in Zamfara Village

Nigerian troops successfully thwarted an ambush by terrorists in Kango Sabuwal village, located in the Gusau Local Government Area of Zamfara State.
Led by a skilled military intelligence commander in the North West, the soldiers engaged in a decisive operation, eliminating seven terrorists during the encounter.
It was gathered that the operation is part of the ongoing efforts of Operation Hadarin Daji, where the troops have been intensifying their fight against terrorists in various parts of Zamfara in recent months.
The bandits, who were in a large group, attempted to infiltrate and attack the troops stationed at Forward Operating Base Wanke.
However, the gallant soldiers were well-prepared and organized an effective ambush, neutralizing seven of the criminals in a late evening clash.
Following the encounter, the troops pursued the remaining fleeing bandits, recovering one machine gun, an amount of ammunition, and six motorcycles used by the attackers.
The military intelligence commander said the troops’ consistent success in defeating the terrorists and maintaining the security of the region.
He added, “The operation showcased the troops’ determination and commitment to protect civilians and combat the threat posed by the terrorist groups in Zamfara.
