Sanwo-Olu Calls For Zero Tolerance For Violence In Lagos

The Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has expresses his worries over the ongoing protest going on in the state this morning.
The protesters are said to be worried because this development of Naira redesign and cashless economy can only impact negative attitude and hardship amongst people, while if adequate care is not giving will lead to violence.
The governor has reiterated the state government’s zero-tolerance for all forms of violence, saying no effort would be spared in ensuring that such acts are curtailed.
The governor also praises the Lagosian for displaying sense of maturity and calmness despite this artificial hardship.
He urged them to remain law abiding citizens as the supreme court is looking into the matter and will make its position known on 22nd, February,2023.
He further explained that the State Government have since join legal dispute all in the interest of people and they believe the apex court has the capacity to adjudicate on these matter as soon as possible.
He then assures them that the state government will work tirelessly hard to ensure contentment is restored among people.
