Subsidy removal: Ahmed Musa’s filling station reduces petrol to N580/litre

Ahmed Musa, the captain of the Nigerian national football team, has announced a reduction in the price of Premium Motor Spirit (petrol) at his filling station, MYCA7, located in Kano.
He revealed on his verified Twitter page that the fuel price has been lowered from N620 to N580 per litre.
Kanempress learned that the decision has garnered excitement among Nigerians, especially considering the recent increase in petrol pump prices by the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited, raising it to N617 per litre.
While responding to inquiries about the price reduction, Musa stated that “I chose to sell fuel at the lower rate.”
He added that the motive behind the gesture is to provide relief to vehicle owners in the state, who have been affected by the rising cost of living due to the higher fuel prices.
It was gathered many Motorists have appreciated Musa’s thoughtful initiative, as it allows them to save money compared to buying fuel at the higher market rates.
Ahmed Musa who is a prominent Nigerian professional footballer is known for his role as a forward and left winger for the Turkish Süper Lig club, Sivasspor, and the Nigerian national team.
