General Tchiani became the new president of Niger

General Abdurahamane Tchiani was announced as the new president of the Republic of Niger, after overthrowing the government of former president Mohamed Bazoum.

The new president appeared on national television, where he outlined the problems he said the country was facing that led them to take the step of overthrowing the Bazoum government.

Later, General Tchiani called on the people of the country to cooperate with the government so that the affairs of the country can be managed successfully.

On Wednesday, General Tchiani led the security forces of the country’s government palace to overthrow the government of President Mohamed Bazoum.

And now the former president is in the hands of the Niger army.
