Festus Keyamo, the Delta State ministerial nominee, has issued an apology to the Senate for not appearing before the 9th National Assembly during his tenure as Minister of State for Labour and Productivity under former President Muhammadu Buhari.

Kanempress observed that the Senate screening session became chaotic when Senator Darlington Nwokocha called for Keyamo’s screening to be postponed due to his past attitude towards the National Assembly.

It was learned that after a closed session, Keyamo met with President Bola Tinubu before continuing the screening.

Similarly, during the reconciliation, Keyamo apologized again and assured the availability of the list of beneficiaries of the N52 billion Public Works scheme for scrutiny.

The Senate accepted his apology, asked him to leave, and encouraged him to avoid similar issues in the future.
