The army in Sudan has been attacking an area of Omdurman city, where a traditional healer treats injured paramilitary fighters.
Ten people had died in the shelling on Monday, which marked four months since the power struggle between the military and the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces, RSF.
The Rapid Support Forces had occupied bases in many residential areas of the three cities of Greater Khartoum – Bahri, Khartoum and Omdurman, targeted by air strikes and shelling.
A shell fired from the close by Karari military base, struck a small square in Omdurman’s Ombada 19 suburb where young male adults sought shelter.
Another shell struck a home of the owner of the restaurant, and in the process, killed his son.
Other victims include a traditional healer, whose house was struck by a shell on Tuesday, but it did not explode.
Her house has become a clinic during the war as 80% of hospitals shut down due to the ongoing fighting.
She deals with bone fractures and had recently been treating Rapid Support Forces personnel.
Many critics believe that traditional healing is popular particularly in Sudan, its method is better than modern medicine for treating broken bones.
